Windows 10 disable quick access registry free. How to Remove Quick Access in Windows 10 File Explorer- Windows 10 disable quick access registry free
Before closing out of the registry editor, open a new File Explorer to see if Quick Access is still accessible, if it is still there, check the spelling and location of the registry entry and adjust as necessary.
If all has worked correctly, the registry entry should disable the Quick Access drop down from the left pane of all file explorer windows and tidy up your windows look and feel. Hopefully, someone can take this forward and design a PowerShell script or GPO tutorial for easier deployment. I also find the quick access annoying and unnecessary. We have our users go here for mapped drives, and This PC file explorer for quick access to recent files. I thought about doing that, but changing how users remember how to access the drives, having more than one option available, and rolling this out company wide without a user just deleting the My Computer shortcut was my concern.
